Our Story: 25 Years on Junction Blvd

Abdul Furniture and Mattress Store is a family-run furniture and mattress store in Corona, Queens, opened in 2001 by Abdallah Mansour, known to everyone as Abdul.

How it started

In 2001, Abdul opened a small furniture store on Junction Blvd. The neighborhood needed a place where families could furnish their homes at prices that worked for them, and he wanted to be that place.

From the start, the store also did something most stores wouldn't: it offered in-store payment plans built on trust, for neighbors who couldn't get approved through credit checks or No Credit Needed Financing. For many families, that was the only way to furnish a first home.

Growing with the neighborhood

Spanish-speaking families have shopped with us since day one, and our team still helps every customer in English or Spanish. As the neighborhood grew, so did we: we moved to a bigger showroom at 35-18 Junction Blvd, added new furniture brands and better mattress brands, and brought in more ways to pay, from No Credit Needed Financing to financing on approved credit.

Like family

Today, Abdul and David run the store together, day to day. We want every customer to feel at home the moment they walk in, and we treat them like family: we go above and beyond until you're happy with your purchase and with our service.

After 25 years, our favorite moments are the ones that come full circle: grown-ups walking into the showroom and telling us their parents bought their furniture here when they were kids.
